Weight Level Unknown! (Just Another Set Back) - Weight Loss Progress Update June 30th

Today was just another one of those stupid set back days and mentally, I just wasn't feeling it for motivating myself to follow the OMAD diet and I really do think I over ate today and I will be regretting it tomorrow. I am honestly thinking that I have an eating disorder of some sort.

Or, while following the OMAD diet and being deprived of food, with the combination of alcohol on some days I do really feel that eating more will help me feel better in some ways and in the back of my head I know that this is not the way to go if I want to make progress in my weight loss journey. I definitely do believe that drinking has increased my food cravings when I drink.

I obviously didn't get a chance to weigh myself today and I had an appointment to get to which my whole early afternoon was planned around that so I felt that having an early meal was appropriate for this. Like I said in previous posts, I am the worst example when it comes to losing weight. But in the past year, I have achieved more than I ever thought I could.

I've lost more weight than I have ever lost all at once and it has taken me down a long, hard road to walk down and this diet of mine has lasted for almost a year now. My previous diets lasted me maybe a few weeks or maybe 4-5 months maximum. This one is pushing the limits.

Another reason that I have these set backs is probably depression, which sometimes this kind of feeling only makes me stronger, so we'll see what happens in the future.

There are some long term effects from following OMAD and according to a Google search this is what they are:

  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Hormonal changes
  • Blood sugar fluctuations
  • Digestive issues
  • Hunger and relationship with food
  • Athletic performance

If you'd like to stay on OMAD for the long term to lose a ton of weight, this is what you should include in your daily life:

  • Protein
  • Resistance training
  • Fiber
  • Healthy fats
  • Micronutrients
  • Regular monitoring

What I have been taking on a daily basis is Multivitamins which you can get for cheap at stores like Wal-Mart in the Equate brand or you can also check out other discount drug stores and you may be able to find some affordable options. Another good thing to take while following the OMAD diet is Fish Oil supplements which you can also get at any drug store but just shop around because some products out there are quite expensive.

If you would like to know more about how to follow the OMAD diet on the safer side first talk to your family doctor and also try a Google search like this one and see what options you have.
